This course explains the E&S related requirement that Development Banks or Development Financing Institutions (DFIs) may have when provide a loan / taking equity in financial institutions and Private Equity funds.
The course further explains the impact that this can have on the financial institutions business (i.e. in particular with regard to their clients) as well as provides for a quick explanation into “why this could make sense for the financial institution” and is not just another bureaucratic hurdle imposed by the DFIs. The course is regularly updated to reflect – to the extent possible – the latest E&S requirements of leading DFIs like IFC or the European Development Financing Institutions EDFI (including KfW/DEG, Proparco, FMO, OeDB, Swedfund, CDC, Cofides, BIO, IFU etc.)
